New Members
Limerick Canoe Club membership is open to adults and to juniors aged 14-17years who are accompanied by an adult family member.
New members are required to hold the Irish Canoe Union Level 2 Kayak Skills award or higher. The Level 2 skills award is a basic flatwater kayak skills award completed over either 3 days or 6 evenings.
The club runs a beginners course in July & August each year. Kayaking courses are also available at Kilfinane Outdoor Education Centre and University of Limerick Activity Centre.
The club has a limited stock of equipment to help beginners get started but new members are expected to get their own paddling equipment as soon as possible (click here for details on paddling equipment)
Our membership year commences 1st April each year. Limerick Canoe Club is affiliated to the Irish Canoe Union and ICU membership is included with club membership.
Membership fees
Senior Applicants 18 years or more €45
Family Parents/ Guardians and their children aged between 16-18yrs €60
To join Limerick CC simply fill out an application form and post along with the appropriate fee to the Club Secretary.
